SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman
Corey Taylor played
an acoustic version of the SLIPKNOT song
"Snuff" as a
tribute to late SLIPKNOT bassist Paul
Gray during Taylor's
solo concert this past Saturday (July 17) at Wasted Space at the Hard
Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Watch fan-filmed video footage of the
dedication and the actual performance below.

The Hard

The case features masks and uniforms that Corey has
worn on

photographs
and some other special memorabilia.

To celebrate
this special
honor, Corey performed two solo shows at the Hard

first was Poolside on July 16 with his JUNK BEER KIDNAP
BAND.
The second was the above-mentioned solo acoustic show at Wasted Space in
the Hard Rock.

Taylor told
Billboard.com that
it's "too soon" to talk about SLIPKNOT's future
following the May
2010 death of Paul Gray at the age of 38.
SLIPKNOT has
been on a break since late last year and the band members did not give
any hint of their future plans at a brief press conference they did the
week of Gray's death. Taylor
himself is taking part in
promotional efforts for "Audio Secrecy", the third
album from his
other band STONE SOUR, which is due out September 7.
Other than
his "too soon" comment, he declined to speak about
Gray.

On July 16, SLIPKNOT DJ Sid Wilson (a.k.a. DJ
Starscream) was interviewed by Andy Hall of the Des Moines,
Iowa radio station Lazer 103.3. Watch the chat in two parts
below.

Wilson (MySpace page) recently announced plans to release a
"solo" album with his new project , simply called SID. He said,
"I am the frontman [for SID] and have a band backing me with
guitarist 9 Ballz, drummer Big Mike, the DJ 'A-Roc
Impossible', and hype and back-up vocals by Jamazz."

SID
will perform on August 26 at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa.
Opening the show will be BLUE FELIX and UNVISIONED.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of show and are available through Ticketmaster.

SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR guitarist Jim Root
said an interview at the Sonisphere festival web site that a
"healing process" needs to take place before SLIPKNOT decides how
to move forward following the death in May of bassist Paul Gray.
Root said, "I'm not sure what we are going to do. We haven't
talked about anything we're going to do. We've got some things to think
about so right now we are just going to not think about them . . .
There's going to be a big healing process that needs to happen before we
even think about whether or not SLIPKNOT will continue. And
right now that's the furthest thing from our mind. Right now we are just
grieving or trying to find time to grieve anyway for the fact that our
bro's gone."

Root and SLIPKNOT singer Corey
Taylor are on the road now with STONE SOUR, whose new album, "Audio
Secrecy", arrives on September 7.

Root said that it
will be "probably two years at least" before SLIPKNOT begins to
think about its future, with STONE SOUR gearing up for 18 months
of touring behind the new record.

The 38-year-old Gray's

ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER, MURDERDOLLS To Tour Together In The Fall

"Metal Zone" host Nikki Blakk of the San Francisco,
California radio station 107.7 The Bone conducted an interview
with drummer/guitarist Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT, MURDERDOLLS,
ROB ZOMBIE) on July 11, 2010 at the Mountain View, California
stop of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem
Festival. Watch the chat in two parts below. A couple of excerpts
follow.

Q: What was it like working with Al Jourgensen
[MINISTRY]?

Joey: Amazing. And actually I'm
working with him again in the fall. Actually, not the fall — early next
year. . . I just talked to Al the other day and we're gonna do
something. I'm not sure if he's got a name for the project or if it's
just gonna be a solo record, but it's gonna be the fastest thing that
he's ever done, and it'll probably actually push me a little bit more,
so it's gonna be interesting.

Q: So it's not gonna be a MINISTRY
project?

Joey: It might turn into that; I don't know.
We're just gonna write and it's coming out on 13th Planet [Jorgensen's

record label], but that'll be next year.

Q: So you've
actually already got the next year, pretty much, planned out.

Joey:
Yeah, I've got the rest of this Mayhem tour with ZOMBIE,
then I've got Ozzfest [dates with MURDERDOLLS], a couple
of Ozzfests, and some solo [MURDERDOLS] shows over in
Europe, come back, and then the fall is gonna be [a package tour
featuring] MURDERDOLLS, ALICE COOPER [and] ROB ZOMBIE
for the fall run, which is Gruesome... Well, it's not the Gruesome

Twosome tour now, since the MURDERDOLLS [is gonna be part of
the package]. So I'm [pulling double duty] during the fall [tour
playing with both MURDERDOLLS and ROB ZOMBIE]. Then after
that, November [will be] MURDERDOLLS [in] Europe, then — I think;
I'm not totally sure — there might be some ZOMBIE stuff in
December. Then after that's MURDERDOLLS all next year, besides
the studio stuff with Al, and then we'll see where I'm at at that
point.

Q: Isn't it weird for you to have the next year
and a half year of your life just mapped?

Joey: Sometimes
it's a little weird. Sometimes I sit back and I'm, like, "Man, have I
completely lost my mind?" I mean, like, all the way? And sometimes I'm,
like, I might have. But it's all I know. I mean, that's what I was put
here for.

First **unconfirmed** "Halloween Hootenanny"
tour dates featuring ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER and MURDERDOLLS:

Sep.
30 - Gibson Amphitheatre - Universal City, CA
Oct. 02 - AVA
Amphitheater - Tucson, AZ

 Amazon.com are now accepting
pre-orders for the new Murderdolls album out August 31, 2010. This album
features a limited edition DVD.

PRE-ORDER NOW FROM

dose of whiskey-soaked riffs, satanically sleazy solos and infectiously
invasive choruses. Which means it’s what the Murderdolls do best, but
even better (and filthier) this time around.

Joey
Jordison and Wednesday 13 tear through unforgettable tracks like "My
Dark Place Alone,” “Death Valley Superstars,” “Summertime Suicide” and
“Drug Me To Hell,” to name a few. Even though Joey's live role in
Murderdolls is axe-slinging, his one-of-a-kind drumming fuels the album.
Produced by Zeuss [Hatebreed, Shadows Fall] Women and Children Last
exists in an evil little place tucked somewhere in a back alley behind
the thrash, glam, punk and arena rock super highways, and Murderdolls
have arrived to rip pop culture a new one. All you can do is sing along
while they haul off your daughter…

Rock 'n' roll is
dangerous again, thanks to Murderdolls and Women and Children Last,
their sophomore album for Roadrunner Records.
